Celebrate Schools Day: a day to feel proud about your School!
Book-Builder has launched "Celebrate Schools Day" which will take place on the 15th July. What we are asking schools to do is to contact their local media a week before the day with a positive story about something that happened in the school year. If you wanted to do this you might choose to use some of the pictures from the Yearbook to illustrate the positive nature of life at school - although of course you can use any pictures you like. We are backing this up with our own press releases to the media, telling them about Celebrate Schools Day.
Every summer we know the media will run negative stories about education. They don't have much to write about so they seize on a topic such as a rise in the pass rate in exams and, instead of congratulating pupils and teachers for working hard, they claim that the exams are getting easier.
